ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a hands-on architect who owns our technical presales — someone who makes sure the right solution gets designed, estimated and sold, and then built the right way. This is an organisation-wide role. It is not tied to one team, one product or one industry: you work across all our client accounts and our own product portfolio. Presales is the core of this role. You lead solutioning, write the estimates and Statements of Work, and own the technical story we take to clients. Alongside that, you set architecture direction, stay hands-on where it matters, and guide junior engineers. No specific domain — healthcare, banking, manufacturing or public sector — is mandatory. Sound architecture judgement matters more. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Presales & Solutioning (primary) Own the technical presales process end to end — discovery, solution design, effort estimates and Statements of Work for proposals, RFPs and tenders. Present the solution and product demos to client stakeholders, both technical and business. Give realistic estimates and challenge unrealistic scope or timelines before they are committed, not after. Build reusable estimation models, SOW templates and proposal patterns so quality stays consistent across the organisation. Architecture & Technical Design Own end-to-end solution design across client projects and products — application architecture, data model, integration approach, infrastructure sizing and non-functional requirements. Make and document build-vs-buy, framework and tooling decisions, with trade-offs recorded in writing. Set coding standards and review discipline; design for multi-tenancy, role-based access control and scale. Cloud, AI & Data Design confidently on at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure) at depth, with working knowledge of the others. Bring AI into solutions and proposals — LLM integration, RAG, agents — with honest judgement on cost and reliability, and adapt quickly as the tooling changes. Factor data engineering and data / ML needs into designs where a solution genuinely calls for it. Hands-on Support & Mentoring Review code on critical modules and write proof-of-concepts where a pattern needs proving. Debug production and staging issues alongside developers when needed. Mentor developers and technical leads, and guide juniors on architecture, estimation and presales. Delivery Governance & Escalation Act as the technical escalation point across accounts when a delivery is at risk. Review technical health across projects — architecture drift, technical debt, security gaps, performance and deployment risk. Support project managers on skill mix, effort and hiring (technical interviews and evaluation). MUST-HAVE SKILLS Presales & Estimation Proven ownership of presales artefacts — effort estimates, SOWs, RFP / tender responses and architecture diagrams — and the judgement to size work realistically. Can defend an estimate and an approach in front of a client. Architecture Demonstrable experience designing multi-tenant SaaS or multi-module enterprise platforms. Clear point of view on monolith vs modular monolith vs microservices — and when each is the wrong answer. Security fundamentals: authentication and authorisation patterns (OAuth2 / JWT), data protection, OWASP Top 10 and secure code review. Cloud & Infrastructure Design-level depth in at least one of AWS, GCP or Azure, and comfortable producing and defending infrastructure cost estimates. Docker and container-based deployment; CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps). AI Integration Practical experience integrating LLM and AI capabilities into products — API integration, RAG patterns, prompt design, vector stores — and a habit of keeping up as the space moves. Engineering Fundamentals Strong full-stack depth in a modern stack (our primary stack is Node.js / TypeScript with React); adaptability across stacks matters more than any single framework. REST API design plus working knowledge of GraphQL and event-driven patterns; one relational and one NoSQL database, including schema design and query optimisation. Third-party integrations across payment gateways, communication APIs, CRM / ERP systems and SSO providers. GOOD TO HAVE Data engineering background — pipelines, ETL / ELT and warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks). Data science / ML background — model building and basic MLOps. Experience responding to RFPs, government tenders or enterprise procurement. Prior experience in a services organisation running multiple concurrent client accounts. Mobile architecture exposure — React Native or Flutter. NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS These carry the same weight as the technical stack. Explains a technical decision to a non-technical client without losing them or oversimplifying it. Writes clearly — SOWs, estimates and architecture notes are a large part of this role. Comfortable disagreeing with a client, a PM or the Delivery Head when the technical position is right, without turning it into conflict. Dependable on availability — responsive through the working day and contactable for critical escalation calls when a delivery is at risk. WORK MODEL Permanent, full-time and office-based at our Indore office. Candidates currently outside Indore are welcome to apply and should be prepared to relocate. The role owns technical escalation across accounts and mentors the team day to day — both work better in person — so a limited hybrid arrangement may be agreed with the Delivery Head after probation. Expect client-overlap hours, occasional out-of-hours escalation calls where a delivery is at risk, and some travel for workshops and project kick-offs.
