Meet the Client

This client is a leading service provider in AI based products which includes a wide range of services like digital messaging, Live chat, business meetings, chatbots, text to speech and many more automated processes. Over the years, company demonstrates growth with their product list. With the increasing dynamic demand of customers and various new product development in pipeline they were seeking assistance to maintain their website activities and they can focus on core product development process to equip their global customers with innovations.

With the need of website maintenance and operations they collaborated with us.

The Challenges

Rapid growth in the user base introduced performance and scalability challenges across the client’s website, the organization’s primary customer touchpoint. As the products listing were going up along with details to be highlighted on the website they started facing hurdles regarding operational efficiencies related to security, maintenance updates and monitoring system. There were increased instances of website downtime, server crashes, traffic spikes not handled, high server response time, SLA breaching. Security vulnerability leads to users data compromise and privacy issue.
The performance stack experienced degradation, resulting in negative impact, diminishing user’s trust and reputational damage.

The Solution

We resumed website maintenance operations and reviewed website metrics to identify all potential areas of improvement. With the outcome of thorough investigation we devised a framework to work on identified core areas.

As a part of action plan, we implemented proactive cloud monitoring and alerting process for quick issue capture and resolution process. Deployed built-in auto updates process to handle core updates and maintenance updates issue.
To minimize service interruptions, reduce mean time to recovery, and for high performance we automated scheduled backups and rollbacks mechanism. We emphasized and upgraded authentication and access control features. Automated cookie consent management using automation tools for data protection and privacy. Malware scanning and file integrity were strengthened for website security from various malicious activities, viruses and unauthorized file changes. Load balancers were deployed to manage traffic surge.

The Approach

We drafted an approach which included a blend of automated and manual processes to encounter this case problem.
The implemented solution was designed to automatically perform:
– auto restart of failed services.
– real time-based autoscaling instance process.
– failover to secondary region.
– incident management process.
– log analysis and error detection.
– one time capex to upgrade certain functionalities.

The workflow also involved manual actions such as periodical checks of server and application logs, download back-ups periodically with an intent of deep review. Last but not the least, our team randomly checked website manually to verify certain factors like up time, response time and latency issues.

The mix of automation and manual processes assisted us to detect and labelled various areas prone to automation and manual intervention for best quality outcomes.

Technology and Innovation

By integrating the tools, technologies and human processes we designed a prototype wherein we had the reasonability for the complete operation process. Employed bucket list of tools included cloud monitoring solution like log analytics, network watcher, cloudflare, log monitoring and analysis tools like Prometheus and Grafana, load balancer, docker container, cloud automation tools like terraform.
Gemini AI tools like Gemini scheduled actions, Gemini code assist, cookiebot were deployed to automate processes and reduce human intervention.

The tools and technologies have been integrated and implemented with a motive to make the website available, secured, up and running without any latency.

The Outcome

With the applied solutions client informed about observable benefits such as improved efficiency in terms of availability, reliability and security. Automation of certain functionalities helped to reduce human intervention and error. This strategy helped to improve client’s ability to strengthened emphasis on AI research and development. Automation helped to determine root cause, impact, immediate remediation, and long term prevention. Foremost, it ensured smooth operation with consistent performance.

Client provided feedback on better user connectivity and enhanced website performance. End user experience added to the positive word of mouth.
Ultimately, positive outcomes maintained their position to keep a pace with expanding business opportunities in their AI based product domain. Last but not the least, they gained ample budget and time to invest in their research and development areas which can magnify their reach in AI domain.

Lessons learned

This association strengthen the vision to work on an implementable solution with the purpose to improve the performance. This results in pragmatic approach to design and implement corrective measures. Collaboration with our organization allowed client adequate time to focus on their core functionality of AI domain research and development. They also acknowledged the need of automation of certain website maintenance and sustenance functionalities to keep up with the evolving environment.

Client forecasted potential for AIOps architecture style set up to enhance business potential and reach globally.
